Hi, I'm Max, founder of GLOWE.

I've always slept with blackout curtains. The trouble began everywhere else, a hotel room, an unfamiliar city, anywhere the dark wasn't guaranteed. One sliver of light through the curtains was enough to undo the whole night, and the morning always showed it.

I couldn't find anything that solved it properly. Most sleep masks are an afterthought: thin, synthetic, designed to be cheap. So I set out to make the one I actually wanted, the kind that makes any room feel like your own darkened bedroom. Total blackout, with the quiet weight of something soft resting against your skin.

It started with the silk. Weight and grade change everything about how it feels, so I worked through them carefully before committing to anything. 19 momme felt thin. 23 felt right, denser, smoother, with the substance the others were missing.

I refined the design through round after round of samples, tested with real people, until there was nothing left to improve. The result is the GLOWE Deep Sleep Mask, made to a single standard: it has to feel like the most considered thing you put on at night.

The mask is the beginning. GLOWE is built as a house of sleep essentials, each one held to that same standard, each one made to turn the night into something you look forward to rather than rush through.

I stay close to every part of it, from the materials we choose to the emails that come in. I read them personally. That's not a limitation of being small, it's the standard I intend to keep as we grow.
